Bad Luck with Laptops

I guess I've been really lucky with PC's. I have been working in the networking space for 10 years, and only now has my luck been catching up with me. My laptop wouldn't boot ... in fact it wouldn't even get past CMOS. Swapped the hard drive into another laptop (same model). That worked fine for a day, then I would get the same problem. Had the laptop sent in for repair, and got it back yesterday. Was able to boot it, but then it failed again after 3 hours. I should have learned my lesson, and tried to copy files instead of working on it. I think I am possessed. I'm copying everything from the hard drive to a brand new drive. Hopefully that will do the trick.
