True Ron, I commute on a DaHon Curve SL-8 (2008); 6.5 miles from home to the Metro station (fold bike), 11 miles on the Metro (un-fold bike), then 1.5 mi. to work. I get 16 mi. per day in about an hour and 5 min. Faster than taking the car and the $3.00 per day on the Metro is about the same as gas for my Insight.
